NOT IN THE BIN: Furniture
Furniture like plastic chairs, fabric sofas, wooden tables, and metal stools are not recyclable in your bin. The single stream recycling process is not meant for items made of mixed material and it can actually damage the equipment if it comes in.
If furniture is gently used and intact, there are many options in Sioux Falls for donating or selling.

Local Thrift Stores and Charities – There are many other local charities and thrift shops that accept donations, check them out before you dump anything in the trash!
