Program Information
CITY Program—Pierre, South Dakota
Program Model: The City of Pierre provides recycle drop off boxes at the city transfer station, and one private waste hauler, EnviroTech, offers customers a bi-weekly pickup of recyclable items as part of the Pierre Curbside Recycling Program.
How it Works: The curbside program provided by the local waste hauler includes recycling bins and collection every two weeks. Residents and businesses may set up services directly with the waste hauler. Residents may also use the public recycling drop off containers provided by the City of Pierre at 2800 East Park Street.
CITY Requirements
Residents are encouraged to recycle but participation is not mandatory.
