Community Recycling News

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Sioux Falls, SD (March 18, 2024): Millennium Recycling is excited to announce the “Recycling
Robot – Earth Day Naming Contest” for students grades K through 5 in their service areas. This
contest aims to educate students about the importance of recycling while fostering creativity.

A Fun and Educational Opportunity:
Students are invited to design a provided robot coloring page and submit a name for the
company’s new recycling robots. These robots play a crucial role in sorting recyclables from the
community by pulling out plastic bags and plastic wrap that should not be included. This contest
gives students a chance to learn about what happens to their recyclables and what items can be
recycled in the bin.

How to Participate:
Students grades K through 5 can submit their entries, which include the colored page and their
chosen name, by mail or online at recyclerobots.com. The deadline for submissions is April
12th, 2024. Winners will be announced on Earth Day, April 22nd.

Exciting Prizes:
Two winning names will be chosen, and the students who submit them will receive exciting
prizes, including:
● A custom t-shirt and certificate
● A special treat for their entire class
● An exclusive tour of Millennium Recycling’s facility in Sioux Falls to see the robots
