Important Notice: Closure of Public Recycling Drop-Off Bin
Since 1999, we’ve proudly offered a free public recycling drop-off bin to support our community. Over time, however, the site has been increasingly misused as a dumping ground for trash and non-recyclables. As a small private business, the growing costs and operational impacts have made it unsustainable to continue offering this service.
As of January 2025, the public drop-off bin is permanently closed.
For those still looking to recycle, the Sioux Falls Regional Landfill accepts recyclable materials—including cardboard, paper, glass, and steel cans—free of charge at their designated recycling drop-off area. You can also set up service with a local hauler; find options at millenniumrecycling.com/haulers.
We’ll continue accepting large or commercial loads by appointment—please call us at 605-336-1744 to schedule.
If you’d like to see more public recycling options in our community, we encourage you to contact the City of Sioux Falls at (605) 367-8276 or visit their website. You can also voice your concerns to your City Council representative, whose contact information is available on the city’s website.
Thank you for your understanding and for continuing to recycle responsibly.
Commercial Quantities? For larger commercial quantities, please contact us.
Need a Waste Hauler? If you are a resident or business in the Sioux Falls area, we encourage you to work with a licensed waste hauler to conveniently pick up your recyclables instead of dropping them off.
