Millennium Recycling’s internship program offers hands-on, project-based experience for students who want to learn, contribute, and make a difference in their community. Interns work alongside our team on real projects that support community education, events, and outreach — gaining practical skills and experience along the way.

How are hours scheduled?

Hours are scheduled around:

  • Community events and presentations

Some weeks may have more hours than others, especially during peak event season.

Where will I be working?

Most work takes place in person at events, tours, or presentations in the Sioux Falls area. Some tasks, such as documentation or planning, may be done remotely.

Do I need reliable transportation?

Yes. Interns need reliable transportation to attend off-site events and presentations.

What type of work will I be doing?

Intern work is project-based and may include:

  • Supporting and attending community events
  • Documenting processes and workflows
  • Helping develop training or event materials
  • Reviewing outreach materials and making improvement recommendations
Who is eligible to apply?

Applicants must be currently enrolled in college.

Can I earn academic credit?
