What to Expect

Put on your walking shoes and join us for a tour of our Materials Recovery Facility!

Millennium is a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), focusing on collecting, sorting, and separating single-stream recyclables before sending them to downstream partners for further processing. It’s important to note that our facility doesn’t engage in grinding, cleaning, melting, shredding, or manufacturing new recycled products.

Tour Guidelines

  • Scheduling Availability: Fridays from 10 AM to 4 PM.
  • Age Limit: Participants must be 11 years or older.
  • Group Size: Limited to 10 participants or fewer.
  • Waivers: Each participant is required to sign a release and liability form.
  • Dress Requirements: Please wear long pants and fully closed-toed, heeled shoes for safety during the tour.

Dive deeper into recycling with a presentation before the walking tour. Explore the recycling process, understand its importance, and get in-depth answers to your questions. (Approximate duration: 1 hour)

Basic Walking Tour:

Enjoy a concise yet informative experience. Begin with a quick video showcasing our processes, followed by a guided walking tour of the facility. The tour concludes with a brief Q&A session. (Approximate duration: 30 minutes)

  • Small Group Presentations: Millennium’s staff can visit your business or meeting location for personalized presentations.
  • Waste Stream Reviews: Millennium’s staff provides onsite reviews of the waste your organization generates and provides best practices to increase or improve recycling.
